Christina Early

I have proudly served Caledon residents for two terms of council, both locally and at the Regional level, bringing years of municipal leadership, community involvement, and practical decision-making experience to the table.

A resident of Caledon for over 30 years, my family roots run deep in the community and my daughters represent the fifth generation connected to Caledon.

Why I'm Running

Caledon is a special place.

It’s where people put down roots, raise families, build businesses and feel a real connection to their community and the land around them.

But Caledon is changing.

We are experiencing significant growth and residents are feeling the pressure in their daily lives. We see it in traffic. We see it in development. And people are asking the important questions about how and why decisions are being made.

Growth should strengthen our Communities, not overwhelm them.

Some of this growth is being driven by decisions made beyond our borders, shaped by regional and provincial frameworks that don’t always reflect local realities.

Simply saying “no” is not a plan. But allowing development to move forward without the roads, services and community planning to support it, is not acceptable either.

We need to get this right. That means managing growth responsibly, protecting our land and water and making sure roads and community services keep pace, while ensuring decisions reflect the needs of the people who live here.

I was raised on well water and we still rely on it today, so I understand firsthand how important it is to protect our groundwater and preserve the natural resources that are such an important part of Caledon.

It also means ethical leadership that is clear, accountable and open about how decisions are made. People deserve to understand not just what decisions are made, but how they happen.

Caledon is at a crossroads.

In the past term of Council, we have seen decisions that have put pressure on our community, but we still have an opportunity to change course.

We will only get one chance to get this right.

As Mayor, I am ready to lead Caledon through this next chapter with a steady, thoughtful approach focused on residents and grounded in community.

Priorities

Experience alone is not enough. Leadership also means recognizing when a course correction is necessary to drive future success.

Managed Growth and Infrastructure

Growth cannot continue ahead of infrastructure. Development must be carefully managed and supported by the roads, water systems, and community services needed to keep Caledon safe, connected and livable.

Transportation Solutions

Caledon needs targeted action to reduce congestion, improve road safety, and manage increasing truck traffic. Transportation planning must reflect how residents actually move through our community every day.

Protecting Our Land and Water

Protecting groundwater, drinking water, rivers, farmland, and natural areas is essential to preserving Caledon’s environment, rural character and quality of life for future generations.

Accountable Leadership

Residents deserve clear, transparent, and accountable decision-making. People should understand how and why decisions are made, and how their voices are considered throughout the process.

Fiscal Responsibility

Strong financial management matters. Taxpayer dollars should be spent responsibly, budgets should be carefully managed, and investments should deliver real value for residents and communities.
